Qiran Jin is a Ph.D. candidate at Dept. of East Asian Studies, Princeton University. His research interests lie in Chinese philology and lexicography, with particular interests in lexicon production and information management in early China, sociology of philology, comparative philology, and Qing evidential scholarship. His broad interests include early Chinese literature, classicism, bronze studies, linguistics, DH, and the history of ideas. Prior to joining Princeton, he earned an MA degree from Columbia University, where he studied the Shuowen jiezi, Zhou bronzes, and intellectual history in early China. He earned a BA degree from Peking University, where he received training in philology, linguistics, and book history.
